For those using our Order Management call center modules, we’ve got a great new feature that’s out of beta test and available for general use. We call it Shift Wage. Originally developed after a customization request from OrderLogix Call Center Edition client ListenUp Contact Solutions, the shift wage functionality is now included in the latest product release. Shift Wage enables the administrator to be able to break apart an employee’s timecard into individual time periods, or shifts, and then assign a different wage rate.
All of us at OrderLogix like this feature. Clients that use the call center modules can now apply different wage rates for an employee — not only to each shift, but also to a different department. For example, a wage of $10/hr can be assigned to the 9pm-5pm shift in Inbound Sales and a wage of $12/hr to the same shift in Outbound Sales. We have also designed an override — so that a particular employee for a specific shift/department pair can make a different wage than another employee that works the exact same shifts and exact same department. A great way to acknowledge and reward your highest performing agents!
But that’s not all! Shift Wage also includes Payroll Processing, and a means of locking or freezing particular payroll records so they cannot be edited. This allows administrators to change wage rates in the future without affecting past payroll records as well as prohibiting any unauthorized access to payroll records.
